You may have seen other Jiu-Jitsu training facilities and wondered what the difference is between them and Alliance. The difference is experience. You will not find any other organization in the world that draws from the depth of experience that Alliance does. Since our origins in 1993 we have trained more than 25 world champions in black belt. Our professionalism and technical quality is second to none.
We began as 3 Jiu-Jitsu trainers with one facility in Brazil, but have since expanded to 340 branches throughout the world. We continue to maintain our high degree of excellence at every location through consistent training standards. While many of our students come in with the goal of becoming a black belt we make it clear from the beginning that this will take years of hard work, and dedication to your craft. This is not something just anyone can achieve, you’ll have to really put in the effort to earn it.
Alliance is based on a training program with three phases: Fundamental Program, Intermediate Jiu Jitsu Program, and Advanced Jiu Jitsu Program. It takes at least 8 months to move to the third level. At that point you’re range of training will increase dramatically to now include No-Gi and high level Gi. Our intention is that at the advanced level you’ll be developing your own style and strategy for Jiu Jitsu competition.
While we still utilize the belt system that is commonly referenced in martial arts, we have additional requirements for advancement as well. Students are expected to meet minimum attendance requirements, show their mastery of techniques in real situations, and attend a specific number of classes. We explain the entire process to prospective students during the introductory class, which establishes the foundation for your entire Jiu Jitsu training experience.
The Alliance Program is led by 6th grade black belt Alexandre Paiva, who is known for both his technique but also his family focused style of instruction. There is a genuine sense of “team” at Alliance which has been reflected in their international success at every level of competition. In 2019 alone Alliance trained the Men’s World Champion, the Women’s World Champion, the Campea’s World Juvenile, the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion Male, and the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Champion Juvenile. Our unity and dedication are well-known throughout the world.
